Oftentimes, zeal, personal expectations, comparison, or just wanting what we want when we want it; can cause us to try and make things happen on our own. I’ve learned that such never works out favorably. The end result is exhaustion, unmet needs, and overall dissatisfaction.
The fact of the matter is, we could never successfully outline our lives. We weren’t created to do so. We don’t have the bandwidth for it. Yet, we do have the ability to “Trust in the Lord;” which I would say is enough to manage in itself.
What if less time and energy were spent on trying to make things happen, and your work investment focused on:
BELIEVING what is meant to be will be; in time.
PREPARING for the appointed time.
LEARNING from and through every juncture in life.
I know what it’s like to anticipate, expect, and hold with great fervor, dreams, desires, and hope. Interestingly enough, it never pans out how I suspect or think it will, because God ALWAYS exceeds in Being and Doing.
So, whatever “it” may be, I’ve learned to Wait for it, Watch for it, and Pray it through!
As you visualize, strategize, and build your now and next, consider this: “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established. The Lord has made everything for its purpose.” (Prov. 16:3-4) I’m Living Proof! Let’s Work️
